Hugo Bassin était un jeune homme de 30 ans, à los angeles vie banale jusqu’à présent. Petit libraire de Périgueux, en Dordogne, il avait consacré sa vie aux livres. Il n’en était pas seulement beginner… Mais admiratif. l. a. littérature était sacrée pour ce passionné qui restait souvent des heures, assis derrière son bureau, set upé dans l’arrière-boutique de sa librairie, à feuilleter les pages d’une œuvre qui ne demandait qu’à être lue. Il était arrivé à un âge où son rêve le plus cher voulait être réalisé : publier son most suitable roman. Cependant, trouver un éditeur n’était pas selected aisée, mais il y croyait dur comme fer, voulait se battre et persévérer, pour obtenir le graal d’être un jour exposé en librairie.
Entre rêves et réalités, Hugo savait qu’il obtiendrait le soutien de son amie de toujours, Anne Valette, sa cadette de deux ans dans le métier, qu’il connaissait depuis l. a. primaire. Hugo l’avait toujours aimée, mais n’avait jamais osé le lui dire, sauf à 15 ans, en lui écrivant un poème, mais à cette époque-là, elle ne s’était pas sentie prête à sortir avec lui. Il avait donc décidé de garder cette belle amitié, tissée depuis toutes ces années, pour combler son chagrin d’adolescent. En général, ce jeune homme distingué n’avait pas peur d’exprimer ses sentiments, mais avec Anne, il était bloqué. À chaque fois qu’il tentait de faire le greatest pas, sans raison particulière, une petite voix dans sa tête lui répétait : « Ne va pas tout gâcher ! »

Ancienne victime au collège, il intervient aujourd’hui en tant que membre d’honneur de l’association « Les mom and dad » dans les établissements scolaires et sous forme de conférences caritatives auprès du grand public.
Sa carrière a commencé en 2011 avec l. a. book de « Sentiments Partagés », puis de « Scrupules » (2012), « Renaissance » (2013), un récit de vie intitulé « Une famille en probability », puis « Souviens-toi » qui a obtenu le Prix Émeraude « Livres en Quercy » en 2015.
